William Roache known professionally as Bill Roache, is an English actor. He has played Ken Barlow in the soap opera Coronation Street since its first episode on 9 December 1960.
He is listed in Guinness World Records as the longest serving living actor in a continuous role.
In 2012 his life was torn apart when he was arrested and charged by Operation Yewtree who accused him of several sexual offenses.
Mr. Roache was cleared of all charges in Feb 2014. William was suspended from Coronation Street during this process but will return in late 2014.
