Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s Waves Resort Barbados Hotel Spa Review….
Waves hotel, resort and spa is a relatively small hotel complex with 70 rooms in 2 buildings.
Separated by a busy road, these two areas offer a different experience. The ‘sea view’ room offer ocean views and direct access to the beach.
The ‘rear’ building (other side of main road) as the gym, spa, pool and one of the 3 restaurants.
I was hugely impressed with the rooms at the Waves. The ‘Duplex’ rooms offer space, privacy and all of the modern facilities you will require.
The food at Waves is excellent! The views and walks are sensational.

Located about half an hour away from the airport, this modern hotel offers a more personal service than the big brands.
The hotel has a small private beach and you are able to take a wonderful walk for about 30 minutes enjoying the stunning views.
In room you are given gin, vodka and soda which is a wonderful treat replenished every few days.
The duplex rooms would be perfect for family with a living area upstairs (can be turned into a bedroom) and huge bed and TV downstairs.
The thing that impressed me the most about Waves was the food.
A stunning buffet selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Some of the best selection of salads and freshly BBQ fish and meat I’ve seen in any hotel.
With it being a relatively a small property, the buffet portions are small and regularly refreshed – perfect!
There’s 2 other a la carte restaurants if you wish to be served.
There’s entertainment in the evening in the large lounge area overlooking the ocean.
The outdoor seating area is covered so you get the Caribbean feel without birds and bugs bothering you.
Dinner options:
With three elegant restaurants to choose from, dining at Waves offers variety, originality, style, flare and tremendous quality.
The 3 eateries certainly help with the menotomy of a 7/14 day all inclusive stay:
“Seascape” delivers open-air buffet dining, overlooking the glorious Caribbean Sea.
“Rosso Vivo” is situated in a climate-controlled environment, also overlooking the sea. A variety of Mediterranean cuisine is showcased — Italian, Spanish, Greek, Moroccan etc.
“Feast” is located in the peaceful serenity of our beautiful Spa area, this covered open-air restaurant serves up a pan-Asian menu amidst tropical gardens. From fine Sushi to savory steak.
I was also very impressed with the room service within the cost of the stay for a small delivery fee:
As always with Barbados the weather can be changeable with heavy showers followed by 75 degrees within seconds.
I think disabled guests may struggle as there seem to be steps everywhere.
All rooms have 6ft super king-size beds with memory foam mattress, pillow menu, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, multi-jet walk-in showers, flatscreen TV with 52 channels (mostly American), free wired Internet access, mini-fridge, tea/coffee maker, safe, iron and boards, hairdryer, bathrobes and nightly turn down service (on request).
This property has 4*+ food and rooms although the building itself would probably be 3* due to the road in-between the 2 buildings.
The spa at the Waves is very professional, clean and modern.
Most bookings at the Waves come with complimentary treatments.
Surrounded by lush tropical gardens and overlooking a large free-form swimming pool The Spa at Waves offers the perfect retreat for those seeking a truly relaxing spa experience.
Treatments from a simple manicure to a full day body rejuvenation programme 7 days a week.
A hugely enjoyable holiday with great views, food and rooms…despite the slight difficulties with the property split location.
