Thriller Live Michael Jackson Show Review  MJ Live London West End Michael Jackson

Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s Exclusive audio / visual review via YouTube:

This high energy collection of MJ’s greatest hits is a fun packed tribute to the worlds greatest showman and entertainer.

The Live band at this production is exceptional with an ‘arena’ feel sound-system offering the full Jacko experience. The bass line and authentic recreations are only to be admired.

Nods must also go to the lighting design who steal the show with some breath-taking scenes.

Jackson’s hits are unquestionably challenging and push the cast to the limits to achieve ‘that sound’.

The choreography in this production is relentless and at times very moving, after all no-one does a ballad like Michael. The energy of the dancers is infectious.

The crowd, especially younger members, loved the ‘audience participation’ numbers.

My only reservation with this production veers close to high end cabaret or cruise ship at times. Vocally some of the numbers challenged the cast….although it was a Sunday matinee and I imagine the cast would have been totally exhausted after 8 shows at this level of vocal and physical demands.

Despite that, there is no question this show deserves a place in the West End and offers families and even stag and hen doo’s one of the most high energy nights out in London.

Thriller Live 3*** @ Lyrics Theatre, Shaftsbury Avenue London.
