The Ivy Restaurant Review Dinner West Street London

Enjoy Celebrity Radio The Ivy Restaurant Review Dinner West Street London….

The Ivy Restaurant is one of the most loved, legendary and famous hangouts in the Capital.

Renowned for it’s ‘old school’ showbiz clientele – it offers class, great service, wonderful but unpretentious food and excellent service.

Located in the West End, minutes from Shaftsbury Avenue, The Palace Theatre, Leicester Square and Covent Garden – it couldn’t be better located for a pre-theatre soiree.

With a dignified, relaxed but formal dining room, you cannot fail to be impressed by the efficient silver service.

The menu is not fancy and precocious but it does have delights like their legendary shepherds pie, liver and onions and Ivy burger.

There are more decadent offerings like the foie gras (my favourite pictured below) and an array of seafood dishes and specials.

The Ivy is like restaurants used to be. An event. A night out – not rushed, not cluttered, not complicated no Heart FM screaming out in the back ground. Just fabulous food and service.

They’ve got everything right. The tomato and basil side couldn’t be more basic or simple – but it’s so easily ruined. They get it absolutely right.

As you can see below the burger is cooked to perfection with pickle and onions on the side with the Ivy sauce.

I opted for a side of Parmesan fried courgettes – delicious.

The roast duck breast is utterly tempting – moist, flavoursome and melt-in-your-mouth tender.

You cannot miss dessert at The Ivy.

The after dinner mint sundae is my absolute favourite. It couldn’t be more chocolaty and naughty.

A carb and calorific nightmare – but will finish your meal off in perfect style!

Here’s the Ivy bar:

Nobody goes to The Ivy for ‘value for money’ – this is not the Toby Carvery. 3 courses without alcohol came to over £100, however, it was worth every penny.

A divine dining experience that you will remember for a long time to come. You never know, you might be sat next to Cilla, Biggins or Dale!
