Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s The Grumbleweeds Interview 2018…
The Grumbleweeds are an award winning British comedy band, performing music and comedy.
Since the 1960’s The Grumbleweeds have dominated the UK comedy scene. From TV to Radio, Pantomime, Summer Season, Theatre, Cruise and Cabaret, the act has never failed to impress.
Their act is timeless! Pact with classic routines, schtick and nonsense you cannot fail to LOL at their antics. The ‘production’ bits and use of light & sound is hugely impressive.
In 2017 they wowed audience in the UK’s #1 pantomime at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
James Brandon & Robin Colvill now perform as the Grumbleweeds and star this summer at Scarborough Spa Theatre before panto in Northampton at the Derngate with Darren Day.

Robin has been in the Grumbleweeds since 1962. James joined in 2014 following the death of Graham Walker.
When the group began in the 60’s they spent the next few years undertaking the usual round of clubs and pubs in their native Yorkshire as well as overseas engagements in German, playing alongside bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and many others.
They turned fully professional in 1967, following an appearance on BBC TV’s ‘Opportunity Knocks’.
They went on to appear on the show ‘Max Bygraves Meets New Faces’, courtesy of Johnny Hamp, who nearly 20 years later masterminded their popular TV series, ambiguously titled ‘The Grumbleweeds Radio Show’.
Now Robin has reversed rolls and teamed up with James who has an incredible voice and is his perfect comedy partner.
Here’s Alex & the boys at the Scarborough Spa Theatre…
Over the years the group have appearing on such programs as ‘Coronation Street’, ‘Max & Paddy’s Road To Nowhere’, ‘Emmerdale’ and ‘Heartbeat’ as serious actors.
After Graham Walker’s passing Robin considered giving up show business. Thankfully he’s now back wowing audience with James in the Grumbleweeds 2018!
See them Live in Scarborough through Aug 29th…
They are heralded throughout the business by their peers as ‘The Guv’nors’, boasting record-breaking success in virtually every major theatre and seaside resort in the UK, as well as enjoying success in Australia, Germany, South America, Spain, the Falklands, the Canaries, New Zealand and cruise ships throughout the world.
