Review UB40 Worldwide Tour

Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s Review UB40 Worldwide Tour 2015….

As far as I’m concerned, UB40 have one of the most iconic sounds in music and are unquestionably one of the most original & brilliant groups in British history.

With a controversial past following an acrimonious split – the band have re-formed are finally back together re-creating their legendary sound and out on the road in their authentic original mix of Ali, Astro & Mickie.

Ali Campbell’s unique and powerful vocals are as strong, if not stronger than ever.

These boys have a in-built coolness, an understated confidence and don’t waste time with rambling self-indulgent stories about their lives & torments – they sing the hits, all killer no filler. I love them for that!

Collectively these boys create one of the most addictive, listenable & musically captivating sounds of the last 30 years.

Here’s a 2015 interview with Ali & Alex Belfield:

I saw UB40 on tour at the Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas in October 2015 during their world tour.

The crowd were on their feet from the second the boys appeared on stage and didn’t stop dancing until the show came down some 2 hours later.

I don’t think I’ve ever encountered another artist or group who have such a consistently uplifting sound. This is testament to their internationally remarkable career.

Playing all of the hits including Kingston Town, Rat in mi Kitchen, Can’t help falling in love, Baby come back & of course Red Red Wine – this is the soundtrack to our lives, certainly mine!

Kudos to the band – always remarkable, effortless and clearly at the top of their game and totally at home with this music. The drums & horns are astounding.

The show doesn’t have surprise or huge light and shade – it’s a reggae romp of epic proportions form start to end. They give their punters exactly what they want!

The Joint at HRH is a terrific venue for Live music and the surround sound system is fantastic. There literally isn’t a bad seat in the house.

Bravo boys – still killing it and knocking it out of the park in 2015.
