The pool at South Point Casino definitely has a family feel.
Unaggressive, packed with families and totally respectful and relaxed. That is almost unique in Las Vegas.
You can get swimwear in the pool shop and drinks and snacks at the bar.
There are many dining options at South Point. There’s a remarkable value buffet from less than $11 for breakfast.
Don Vito’s restaurant was my favourite fine dining option as it is a glorious ‘old school’ style.
From the service to the menu, this place reflects a better time & etiquette in Las Vegas.
You’ll have a perfect Italian inspired dinner at this classic Italian/American eatery.
We began with grilled shrimp & gorgonzola and pear salad. A refreshing treat.

WOW – the eggplant parm is the BEST I’ve ever been served. The sauce is sensational. As good as ‘mamma’ could ever make!
The lobster ravioli with black ink pasta was a delight. Italy in every mouthful.
South Point has some unique attractions including a 16-screen Century Theatre movie complex & a 64-lane bowling center.
Gaming wise, there’s a large selection of table games and the latest slot and video poker machines.
The casino floor is the busiest I’ve seen which makes me think it must offer better rewards than mid-Strip or Downtown casinos.

Rooms as you would expect in 2017, come with a 42-inch Plasma televisions, Point Plush mattresses and Wifi.
There is no wifi on the casino floor.
A bus to Aria & TI runs regularly for $12 return. There’s a $21 per day resort fee.
A unique feature to this property is its Equestrian Center, which is the finest horse facility in the country.
South Point also has a fabulous 400-seat showroom that features headliner entertainment and dancing to live bands on weekends.
I saw the great George Wallace in the packed showroom. The good old days of Vegas entertainment are back!
You can also enjoy the gym, spa & barbers amongst the many other attractions.
