Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s Review Red Lantern Foxwoods Resort 2015….
Red Lantern is a delightful Asian Fusion eatery mixing the best of Chinese and Japanese cuisine.
Set in a sexy atmosphere overlooking the Shrine night club at Foxwoods, with a gorgeous open kitchen, you cannot fail to be impressed by the service and unique atmosphere.
You enter through the imposing red ceremonial doors and are greeted by a wraparound leather couch, high-back and tufted club chairs and an assortment of acupuncture lamp statues.
The 66 lanterns set the mood perfectly.
This restaurant has unique dishes with powerful flavours, mixed with a fun and exciting dining experience.
To the food…
The Chicken Wraps were a personal favourite. So refreshing amuse bouche with crisp Iceberg lettuce and hoisin sauce. This is such a fun dish especially for sharing.
Lobster Rangoons with sweet soya sauce were a lovely addition to the meal. With a crispy wanton – this dish had crunch and bite.
‘The Avocado Bomb’ with spicy mayo sesame crab salad was again incredibly fun, refreshing and original. The Tampora crisp sets the dish off perfectly.
A wonderfully fun dish at Red Lantern is ‘The Hot Rock’.
Served with sliced Wagyu Beef, Sashimi Salmon & Sweet Miso sauce – this is theatre.
The dish is not overwhelming and will be a beautifully memorable way to start any meal.
For the entree’s I loved the (family sized) skirt steak with sweet potatoes.
It was beautifully tender and packed with flavour and well presented.
One of my favourite dishes in the entire meal was the Salmon. Perfectly cooked and again served with delicious al dente vegetables….
The desserts at Red Lantern are divine and certainly indulgent.
The multi-layered chocolate cake may not be common in the Far East, but it is certainly a favourite at Foxwoods. Excellent.
A new one to me is ‘Tempura Ice Cream’ – yes, deep friend ice-cream. It has to be seen to be believed….no comment is required!
The open kitchen allows you to watch as chefs prepare delicacies from the Far East while a full sushi counter and lounge area cultivate an interactive dining environment overlook the night club below.
Thankfully the music is not turned up until well after the diners have finished their meal.
With outside seating if required and a gorgeous dining room – Red Lantern is a must visit eatery at Foxwoods.
Don’t miss the East Coast version of the Far East.
