Review One World Observatory New York…

One World Trade Center, also known as the Freedom Tower, is the most imposing and stunning building at the tip of Manhatten.

Opened in 2014, this remarkable structure stands on the World Trade Center complex next to the Tower 1 & 2 which collapsed during the terrorist attacks in 2001.

Standing proud next to the two memorials to the ‘Twin Towers’, you can now travel up 102 stories of this $3.2B bulding to take a view from the 6th tallest building in the world at 1,776 feet.

You’ll travel in the SkyPod Elevators and climb 102 floors in a ludicrous 47 seconds. This astonishing ride reveals the transformation of New York City from unsettled lands to today’s remarkable forest of skyscrapers via the HD screens.

This is one of the most touching, moving, breath-taking and astonishing experiences in New York.

Once checked in at the One World building, you’ll be taken through strict security and then into the museum area of the One World Observatory.

You’ll learn about the history of this staggering building and the incredible achievement to build it so quickly.

The entire procedure is seamless and you’ll be up at the top of the observatory within 15 minutes.

Once upstairs you can enjoy the café, gift shop, history of New York talk & the most sensational views on the planet.

You have a 360 of the 5 boroughs.

I highly recommend you plan around the weather. If it is cloudy there is absolutely no point going up. You’ll see nothing. However, on a clear day, like today, it is truly sensational.

I last visited this site six weeks after the Twin Towers fell. I recorded a show for the BBC and this location has special sentiment as it does for so many people.

There is a reverence about this new building, especially when you pass the two memorials beneath this enormous tower.

You cannot fail to reflect on the events of 9/11 and remember those who died that day…

Here’s our HD Video of the memorials at the World Trade Centre…

The One World Trade Centre Observatory is a fabulous experience.

To see New York, Broadway and 20+ miles afar from one of the most magnificent buildings in the world is truly remarkable.

You can travel to the top of One World from $34 with VIP packages available.

There are three options to eat at the top of the tower. A café, deli and fine dining option from 11am.
