Review John Owen Jones Les Mis

Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s Review John Owen Jones Les Miserables Broadway…

Les Miz has been wowing audiences for over 30 years in London and New York.

This hugely powerful and moving sung through musical is a masterpiece of staging, theatricality & performance.

This new Broadway production is totally re-worked from London and is arguably in its strongest, most compelling and best form.

There are moments of true visual beauty and genius, especially ‘Empty Chairs’ and this new cinematic style gives the show a more 2016 edge.

If you close your eyes the show sounds identical to London, however, the new visual is so seamlessly devised it feels more epic, immersive and therefore compelling.

There’s no question that Les Miz has stood the test of time and is as mesmerising today as it was in 1985.

Last year John Owen Jones flew in from London where he starred as The Phantom in the West End to Star as Jean Valjean in the closing cast on Broadway.

Jone’s is a remarkable world class performer. He gives a 5* performance in this show.

A 5* re-imagining of this glorious musical at the Imperial Theatre Broadway.

John Owen Jones is no novice. He’s Starred in the West End in this lead role.

JoJ has an effortless delivery, a masterful stage presence and a magnificently powerful, moving and tender voice of rare quality.

Jones was born to be a musical theatre Star. He acts up a storm, sings his heart out and melts our heart by the end of this heart-breaking show.

Review Les Miserables Bring Him Home Musical

The final cast of Les Miserable has some stand-out Stars.

Hayden Tee brings a new and wonderful menace to Javert, beautifully delivered and a spectacularly poweful operatic voice.

David Rossmer brought a clown (+ creepy) like brilliance to Thenardier. Perfect!

Kudos to Alison Luff as a glorious Fantine, Brennyn Lark as a delightful Eponine, Chris McCarrell who is utterly charming and likeable as Marius.

Les Miz is a sure bet. You have to invest in the story as this is a rare master-class in a play being turned into a musical.

5* for the Broadway cast of Les Miserables 2015.
