Review IBIS Styles Blackpool Hotel…

As you walk towards the huge Ibis building opposite the North Pier in Blackpool, it’s clear the building has seen better days.

Aside from the abandoned ground floor, the smell as you head to the lift has a lot to be desired – a shame as the reception area is rather nice and very clean.

Next I nervously walked (incredibly slowly) to my room. The corridor was also whiffy, but, the room actually beat expectation.

Don’t get me wrong, this is not The Sheraton Times Square, however, it is clean, uncluttered and perfumed compared to the rest of the building.

I visited peak season where the rooms were £130+, however, on a usual week this is the best value hotel in its class outbidding the Metropole by around £40 on average.

Located in the heart of the action, seconds from the pier and 5 minutes from the Winter Gardens & Blackpool tower, this is a perfect hotel!

The closest car park (West Street) is 3 mins away and £14 per 24 hours or £15 for 48h.

The hotel does offer £7 parking in a car park around a 10 minute walk away.

There’s a few lovely features about the IBIS Styles, firstly there’s 24h free tea and coffee in reception – nice touch.

There’s also free Wifi throughout.

Finally, you are given a nice continental breakfast available until 11am at weekends.

There’s toast, ham, cheese, yoghurts and cereal – very nicely presented and you certainly won’t go hungry!

Despite mostly very positive reviews, some people complain about noise – this is located in the heart of Blackpool – grow up!

This hotel beats expectations in the room and there’s some nice touches like free breakfast and Wifi.
