Mobile phone salesman-turned-globe-trotting millionaire singer Paul Potts has dedicated One Chance, the upcoming movie about his extraordinary life, to his wife Julie-Ann.
They first met on a blind date 12 years ago and she always encouraged him to pursue his dream of becoming a classical singer.
When he appeared on the first series of Britain’s Got Talent in 2007 the couple, who have now been married for 10 years, were a month away from having their £60,000 terraced home in Port Talbot repossessed and were also heavily in debt.
In October 2013 the world will see James Corden portray Paul in a new biopic about his life. Who knew?

Potts has been married since May 2003 to Julie-Ann whom he met in an Internet chat room. They met in person for the first time at Swansea railway station in February 2001.
She had the upper hand at this “first meeting” as she had a photograph of Potts, but he had no idea what she looked like.
As of May 2009 he had assets of £5 million. Potts has moved since BGT, but continues to live in Port Talbot.
