Magician and entertainer Paul Daniels, 77, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in Feb 2016 and passed away on 17th March 2016.
Paul Daniels was the UK’s most loved & respected magician drawing 10 million + viewers regularly on a Saturday night with the ‘Paul Daniels Show’.
He began by performing at parties, youth clubs and to fellow servicemen during his national service.
He then moved on to evening shows in clubs, where it is said that he first developed his catchphrase “You’ll like this, not a lot, but you’ll like it”.
Last year we spoke to Paul, with wife Debbie, about his remarkable life and career.
We discuss his triumphant success, life in magic and legacy…

Star magician Daniels, whose real name is Newton Edward Daniels, developed his magic skills in working men’s clubs.
He made his TV debut on talent series Opportunity Knocks in 1970, and came second.
He was then given a regular slot on ITV variety show The Wheeltappers And Shunters Social Club, hosted by the late comedian Bernard Manning.
