Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s Montcalm London City Hotel Review Wow Suite Club Lounge….
The Montcalm London City is a luxury hotel located seconds from the Barbican and a 30 minute walk from the West End.
Based in the heart of the thriving City at ‘The Brewery’ – this offers personality, luxury and a more boutique feel than the ‘chain hotels’.
With 5* facilities throughout, you’ll be impressed by the size of the room, the decadent furniture and bathrooms & over all splendour.
The Club Rooms or ‘WOW Suites’ offer access to the lounge with refreshments throughout the day and drinks and canapé’s from 5.30pm.

The Montcalm London City offers all of the 2015 5* touches that the modern traveller requires.
Rooms come complete with IPhone (5) docks, flatscreen TV’s, power ‘rain’ showers, Aircon & in-room Nespresso coffee.
The extra touches of complimentary fresh fruit, Wifi and water are always appreciated – especially considering what other brands will charge for these necessities.
By London standards these rooms are incredibly spacious. I stayed in a ‘WOW Suite’, room 228….
TV’s have 40 channels from around the world + various radio stations.
The bed was delicious – four poster, gorgeous linens and come with a selection of pillows to your taste.
In the bathroom (you can even watch through window from bedroom) you are offered Hermes Toiletries.
The WOW Suites offer access to ‘The Montcalm Club Lounge’…..
The Club Lounge is open from 7-11am for continental breakfast.
Throughout the day you can enjoy refreshments and from 5.30pm there is canapé’s and alcohol included through 7pm.
The room is elegant with sofas and chairs. There’s service all day.
Space is limited so it can get very busy at Breakfast and throughout evening drinks.
The breakfast is a delightful affair as you would expect….
This is a hugely impressive continental spread with breads, meats, cereals and yoghurt.
The staff serve your coffee or tea and you can help yourself to juices.
The salmon, cheese and pastries are a delight making for a hugely enjoyable breakfast in the Club lounge.
After breakfast you can enjoy the small gym at Montcalm on the ground floor.
Finally, you have two dining options at the Montcalm Hotel.
The Jugged Hare, (pic 1 below) was part of the old Whitbread brewery (c.1748) and formerly The King’s Head pub.
With a focus on seasonal British dishes, the Jugged Hare boasts a handsome pub, a spacious dining room complete with an open theatre-style kitchen and a stunning vaulted private room.
The Chiswell Dining Rooms (pic 2 below) has a bar and restaurant evokes an atmosphere of abundant good times.
This restaurant has the best of new and old-fashioned British cooking, courtesy of head chef Richard O’Connell, who previously worked at The Groucho Club and One Aldwych.
Chiswell Street Dining Rooms is open for lunch, afternoon tea (pic 3 below) and dinner.
The fitness centre is small but has what you will need for a workout.
It’s located opposite checkin and has cross-trainers, treadmill and some free weights.
There is aircon & TV’s for your comfort.
There is also a sauna next door for hotel guests.
This is a lovely hotel perfectly designed for the 2015 traveller.
