Matthew Kelly is best known for ‘Stars in their eyes’ on ITV back in the 90’s.
He was the biggest Star of Saturday night TV for much of his career.
Since then he’s worked on endless theatre productions including Spamalot, Waiting for Godot and even panto with his son!
Kelly is an English television presenter and Olivier-award winning actor from Urmston.
Having been trained as a theatre actor, he first came to public prominence as a television presenter of ITV light entertainment shows such as Game for a Laugh, You Bet! and Stars in Their Eyes.
Alex went to meet Matthew at the brilliant ‘Lend Me A Tenor’ in the West End:
Matthew always gives 100%! In this show he’s shot out of a cannon from the start!
He might not have the voice of an angel but he makes up for it with his passion, comic timing and apparent joy of just being on stage in this production.
So many could learn a lot from Matthew in the West End!!!
