Lorna Luft is an American television, stage, and film actress and singer. She is the daughter of singer and actress Judy Garland and producer Sidney Luft, and half-sister to singer and actress Liza Minnelli.

Luft was born in Santa Monica, California. She attended University High School in Los Angeles during her senior year and was a member of the school choir.
Not only is Lorna Luft the daughter of Judy Garland, she is also the daughter of the film’s producer, Sid Luft. In her new book, she tells the story of the production, and of her mother’s fight to save her career.
Teaming with film historian Jeffrey Vance, the book is a vivid and refreshingly candid account of the crafting, loss and restoration of a movie classic, complemented by a trove of images from the family collection taken both on and off the set. It also includes essays on other screen adaptations of A Star is Born, to round out a complete history of the quintessential Hollywood story.

Lorna Luft is the author of the New York Times bestselling book Me and My Shadows: A Family Memoir. After making her television debut on her mother’s 1963 Christmas special, Luft embarked on her own career as a singer and actress. She has performed on and off Broadway in Lolita and Promises, Promises; in national tours of Grease and Guys & Dolls; the Rainbow Room and the National Bowl. She lives in Palm Springs, California.
