He released a series of solo albums which saw modest success, primarily in Germany and Japan. In 1988 and 1989 McKeown worked with Dieter Bohlen.
The result of their partnership was the album It’s A Game. In 1990, he participated in the UK heats of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Ball and Chain”, which placed fifth.
Recorded by Alex Belfield for the BBC and Celebrity Radio 2010.
Saw Les & the BCR play in Dublin last week – great gig, he can work a female audience every bit as well as One Direction can, even if he is a few years older !
Great to see him back, the Rollers made ( and still make ) so many people happy and he’s been to hell and back. Best of luck Les.
