La Nouba celebrated 15 years in Florida in December 2014.
It is the brain-child of Franco Dragone, his last production for Cirque.
Cirque Du Soleil as far as I am concerned are the masters of Live theatre.
They use the stage more productively than any other producers in the world. They make the unbelievable possible.
Cirque spend more on their productions than the biggest shows in London and New York can dream of!
They also attract the most talented acrobats and performers from all of the four corners of the earth….many of which are Olympic champions.
I make no apologies for going over the top about Cirque Du Soleil.
It’s the most moving and original Live entertainment & theatre in the world.
The sound track to La Nouba provides the perfect narrative for the show.
Ms. Nkhela really does have one of the most powerful voices I’ve heard in years. She’s gifted!
It is not surprising that her gospel tones were used by Disney in Elton John’s ‘The Lion King’ on Broadway.
Aside from the performers, the Live band are simply brilliant in La Nouba.
All Cirque shows have an incredibly unique & distinctive style with costume, make-up and orchestration – La Nouba is no different.
Despite being in its 16th year, this show looks as fresh and original today as it did when it opened.
This show celebrates some wonderful ‘spec’ acts like ‘Jump Rope’, the death defying ‘Cycles’, ‘Aerial Cradle’, and the most amazing jugglers I’ve ever seen.
La Nouba performers have clearly dedicated their entire life to their craft.
Cirque Du Soleil make their unique talents shine with their brilliant sound, staging & lighting – they’re the best in the business at doing this.
