Joe McElderry is an English singer and songwriter. He won the sixth series of the ITV show The X Factor in 2009.
His first single “The Climb” reached number one on the UK Singles Chart and Irish Singles Charts.
He was also crowned the winner of the second series of Popstar to Operastar in 2011 and the first series of The Jump in 2014.
To date he has released four top 20 albums – two of them reaching the UK top three.
He was the first X Factor contestant to release a fourth album & has sold over 2 million records worldwide!
Since Jan this years he’s Starred in Joseph. He will reprise the lead role in 2017.
He will Star in Pantomime this year at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.

This year 2016, Joe was invited by Bill Kenwright to play the lead in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat through July 2016.
He has received critical acclaimed reviews and has had one leading reviewer stating “Joe McElderry is the best Joseph since the shows inception by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice”
In August 2016 Joe then starts his own 37 date Northern Light Tour which runs until November and, oh yes he is, back into panto in Wolverhampton for Aladdin.
