Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s Jane McDonald Live 5* Tour Singer Of Your Song Review…..
Jane McDonald is unquestionably one of the most successful, highest earning, most popular and ridiculously talented Stars in British show business history.
She’s sold millions of albums, performed sell-out tours, Starred on Loose Women for 10 years and become one of the most loved, popular and talked about celebrities in the UK.
In September 2014 she released her brand new deluxe album ‘Singer Of Your Song’ which she is currently taking on tour throughout the UK. I visited last night at the Embassy Centre Skegness….

I’ve been blessed to have seen Jane perform Live many times over the last 20 years and I’ve come to the conclusion that she is untouchable as a female headliner. The UK has truly not had such a powerful, heartfelt, soulful & talented diva since Dusty.
It’s very easy for the likes of Cowell to scoff at ‘Cruise Ship singers’ but the truth is that working so hard for so many years around the world has given Ms. McDonald the confidence and capability to deliver an effortless two and a half hour master-class of Live entertainment at the age of 50…..looking 35.
Her glamour goes without saying, her quick wit is to be admired and her vocal precision and flexibility leaves her audience on their feet throughout the show.
Jane’s voice is so rich, round and beautifully controlled. Her ability to nail huge ballads like ‘God Only Knows’ to Donna Summer disco proves her diversity, talent and technique.
To open the show a cappella with ‘One Voice’ to some would be terrifying and arguably ridiculous! Jane nailed it and walked on with the diverse audience (15-80) in the palm of her hand.
Not only can Jane cover other peoples songs brilliantly, but she writes some extraordinarily beautiful tunes that her audience adore. The title track from the album and tour – ‘Singer Of Your Song’ – is an award winning standard melody along with her latest creation ‘I’ll be there’ which is stunningly moving and should be released as a single.
Her previous mega-hits of ‘Doctors Orders’ & especially ‘The Hand That Lead Me’ are so adored by the crowd and have remarkable arrangements by the tremendous band who enhanced McDonald’s performance perfectly throughout.
Jane has mastered the art of mixing new with old, fast with slow and emotional with fun to create a past paced perfectly produced 5***** production.
Nods should go to her sound team who did an incredible job and the lighting was tremendous also.
Aside from her vocal brilliance – she’s a personality, raconteur and comedian that’s totally at home on stage. It’s thrilling to see someone handle a sell-out crowd so effortlessly. Her slightly naughty chats and gags definitely tickle the funny bones of the Loose Women fans. Equally her emotion (which she cannot hide) gave a true humanity to her performance.
I’ve been lucky to see some incredible legends around the world including Celine, Britney, Cher, Bette & Bassey in recent years & I can assure you Jane McDonald can match any of them vocally. Such power, control, stamina and incredible warmth.
Jane McDonald knows her audience, loves her audience and gives them exactly what they want – solid gold Live entertainment. All killer no filler.
That’s why she’s still the Queen of the Cruise, Lady Jane Of Wakefield and currently the UK’s most exceptional female Star.
In December Jane will headline the UK’s biggest and most popular pantomime for 90+ performances at the Birmingham Hippodrome Starring as ‘The Enchantress’ in ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’.

Love this article it is so true EVERYTHING that has been said about Jane. Had the pleasure of seeing her recently at The New Wimbledon Theatre and absolutely loved the show. Her voice is spectacular and she is so natural and funny. I look forward to seeing her again.
Well said Alex! Agree with every word you said.
I’ve followed Jane for years & couldn’t admire her talent more!
However, even with her hard work, versatility & great reviews like this one, I can’t understand why Jane is still so underrated in the UK!
Surely no one listens to Simon Cowell?!
Hopefully this mostly sold-out tour will do the trick.
You couldn’t find a better night’s entertainment!
