You might think the beloved Cadbury’s chocolate of yesteryear is gone forever, but help could be at hand from a Cadbury’s family member.
James Cadbury is the great-great-great grandson of John Cadbury, founder of the eponymous chocolate business.
He’s aiming to restore his family’s legacy after the company was subject to a hostile takeover by Kraft in 2010.
His start-up chocolate business Love Cocoa is only a few months old but has already secured a deal with luxury department store Fortnum & Mason.
Four of the nation’s most exciting food and drink start-ups could taste success today as they pitch their concepts to some of the UK’s most renowned food entrepreneurs, in a bid to become the winner of an award which has seen previous winners go on to sell their products globally.
The finalists of intu and Virgin StartUp’s Foodpreneur 2017 include James Cadbury. We spoke to him and judge Levi Roots.
