Jaki Graham is a British singer-songwriter with a killer voice packed with soul!
Following her hit version of “Could It Be I’m Falling in Love” with David Grant in 1985, Graham scored a further five UK Top 20 hits over a two-year period. In 1994, her cover version of Chaka Khan’s hit “Ain’t Nobody” reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Dance Chart.
As the first black British female solo artist to have 6 consecutive Top 20 hits, Jaki Graham firmly maintains her position as Britain’s most revered queen of soul with the release of her long awaited new studio album ‘When a Woman Loves’.
It’s been 6 years since she’s back! Mastered at Abbey Road Studios, ‘When a Woman Loves’ has the iconic sound we adore about Jaki. What an effortless, powerful and moving voice.
“I don’t want to screw you, I just want to aba daba do ya!” – classic!
We LOVED ‘Eye to Eye’, ‘Get It Right’ & ‘Song Inside Me’ is beautiful.

Her new album is the beautiful result of Jaki’s personal and, at times, challenging life journey, highlighting her resilience and strength of character.
Here’s Alex & Jaki in 2018:
With song contributions from Michael McDonald (‘Through The Rain’, ‘Someone Like You’ and ‘Song Inside Me’), Eric Benet (‘News For You’) and the late Maurice White of Earth, Wind and Fire (‘Eye To Eye’), the album is an exciting celebration of Jaki’s 40+ years in the business.
Graham was born in Birmingham to Jamaican immigrants. In 1983 after recording a session for a jazz funk band called ‘Medium Heat Wave’, Jaki was spotted by a talent scout and signed to EMI Records.
Soon after signing with the company “What’s the Name of Your Game” was released and this gave Jaki her first TV appearance on the highly rated BBC children’s programme Crackerjack in 1984.
Two further solo singles followed that year “Heaven Knows” (the title of her first album) and “Once More With the Feeling”.
