Mary Byrnes is back in 2017 with a new album “Mary Sings the Sixties”!
Mary’s story is the stuff of fairytales, legend and movies. Most famous for being the lady from Tesco who shot to fame on X-Factor – she stole the hearts of the British public weekly on ITV in 2010.
Although she was pipped for a place in the X-Factor final, Mary wowed with her warm personality and powerhouse voice.
She’s one of Ireland’s best known and loved singers who offers a collection of new recordings with this new album. She performs songs from her favourite decade – the sixties. Songs featured include many originally made by women who inspired her powerful vocal and courage to succeed.
Classics made famous by Dusty Springfield, Sandi Shaw, Petula Clark, The Righteous Brothers and more are all here delivered in Mary’s own unmistakable style.
Mary also duets with country star John McNicholl on two tracks, Dream Lover and All I Have To Do Is Dream. The duo toured extensively together in the UK in late 2016.
