Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s Gran Hotel Benahavis Spa 4* Marbella Spain Review….
Firstly, the best thing about the Gran Hotel Benahavis Spa is not the property, it’s the location!
Situated in the glorious surroundings and tranquillity of Benahavis, just 20 minutes from the chaos of Marbella – this resort is a great value retreat!

This 4* property is not a new and flashy hotel with glass and modern art everywhere, it’s a traditional Spanish hotel offering great service and spacious rooms.
With traditional décor and furniture, this property is the antithesis of the 24 hour headonistic hotels in Marbs – it’s quiet, relaxing, located on a hillside near the top of a mountain with offers sensational views….
In reality you will need a car if you plan an extended stay at Gran Hotel Banhavis Spa.
Located around 1 hour 10 minutes from the Malaga Airport and 20 minutes from Puerto Banus, this large and well equip hotel offers ‘real’ Spain opposed to the façade and glitz and glamour of the big resorts.
I also love the local bars & restaurants offering 3 course meals during the day for only 10 Euros! You’d struggle to get that in Benidorm!
Gran Hotel Benahavis Spa offers several standards of rooms. I booked a Lastminute.com ‘secret deal’ (not that secret if you check the description and ranking) which cost less than £60 per night.
The room size and quality far exceeds anything you would get in your average ‘All Inclusive’ hotel in Fuengerola or Alicante for example.
The room is simply decorated, offers mini-bar, TV, large bathroom and relaxing seat area with a balcony.
One thing that is certainly impressive is the pool and its views….
This hotel says “Enjoy the exclusivity of this unique hotel 4* SPA located in Benahavís, a natural heaven. The Gran Hotel Benahavís Spa is the perfect place for those who want to forget it all and immerse themselves in elegance, comfort and luxury.”
The location feels exclusive and it is certainly very elegant and most definitely comfortable. I wouldn’t describe it however as ‘luxury’ for the discerning 2014 traveller. Although you won’t be disappointed.
WIFI is free in the room and there is free parking outside the building and on the road.
Here’s the sizable bathroom….
The spa is very elegant with wet area including steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi & inside pool. All guests can use this area for 4 Euros each cover charge of flip flops and hair cover which must be worn in the pool areas.
Treatments are available from 50 Euros if booked in advance.
Breakfast as you would expect is plentiful, well presented and offers something for everyone.
The choice is impressive and it will certainly set you up well for the day with fresh fruit, full ‘English’, breads and cereals….
