Gary Chilton has been a professional musician with The British Army for 29 years and has performed in many countries such as USA, Canada, Germany, Italy plus many more.

He started his live singing career in the pubs and clubs in the North East and soon realised that he had something special to offer the Music Industry.

In October 2009 Gary’s dream of becoming a professional singer was realised when he signed his first record deal with Warner Bro’s and marched into the charts with “The Soldiers” debut album “Coming Home“.

The Album was an overnight success, outselling artists such as Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson.

The album became the 5th best selling domestic album of 2010 and soon went double platinum raising over half a million pounds for service charities.

As lead singer of the group Gary has received high acclaim for Royal Command Performances in front of Her Majesty The Queen at The Royal Variety Performance, and The Festival of Remembrance at The Royal Albert Hall.

The CD version of Gary Chilton’s New Single “I Wonder Where He Is Now” in support of Help For Heroes will be released on December 1st and the CD will be available to buy in Tesco, HMV and many Independent Record Stores!!! and also online at Amazon.

He has also performed for the current Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street and also with some of the all time greats such as Robin Gibb at The London Palladium, Michael Buble, Brian May, and also support for Michael Bolton during his 2009 UK Tour.

In 2010 Gary was approached by the BBC to sing the theme tune to the hit series “Land Girls”. Words to the song “While We’re Away” were written by the great Don Black of “Down Town” fame.

In addition his TV performances include, The Alan Titchmarsh Show, The Wright Stuff, Paul O’Grady Christmas Special, BBC, ITV And Sky News, Lorraine, This Morning, Soccer AM, and Strictly Come Dancing.

Being versatile enables Gary to perform many different genres of music, from Pop to Big Band and Ballads to Songs from the Shows.

His first public performance was at “The Songs of Praise” Big Sing at the Royal Albert Hall in front of six thousand people. He is no stranger to Wembley Stadium singing for several high profile international football matches.

Having been involved in three sell-out UK tours Gary is no stranger to the live music scene and always delivers knockout performances. Gary has always wanted to tread the boards and has an aspiration to eventually appear in a West End Musical.

Gary’s new single “I Wonder Where He Is Now” is in direct support of Help For Heroes.
