He’s done it all from BBC Radio 1, Magic FM & Top Of The Pops on TV.
After a tortuous 5 years after an arrest by Operation Yewtree, DLT is back and ready to launch his brand new radio show on United DJs.
In November 2012, Travis was arrested by officers from Operation Yewtree on suspicion of historic sexual offences, which he denied.
In February 2014, he was found not guilty on twelve of the counts, with the jury unable to reach a decision on a further two counts. He was later found guilty of sexual assault on one count.
DLT maintains his innocence on all counts.
During our chat, Dave thanks his wife Marianne for saving his life…
Joining DLT on UNITED DJS is Mike Read who asked him to join the station.

¨What a really nice guy Dave Lee Travis is and how lucky we all are to know that he will be part of UNITED DJ`s.
Alex`s interview with Dave brought out the man we all know and remember. His genuine and sincere personality shines through. His honesty in his reference to those challenging moments in his life.
Those of us that have the passion for radio broadcasting and the love of sharing good music with our listeners will always strive to be, not only a good DJ but a really nice guy on air and at home and in the workplace.
Thank you DLT.
DLT back on the air…. about time too, regardless of what has gone on he deserves a break and I for one will be listening, welcome back Dave… I have bloody missed you on air
Great news, so glad that DLT is back on the Airwaves, I supported Him in any way possible, during His difficult and tough times, hopefully, that is all behind Him now. Good luck Dave, cannot wait to hear your voice again!
DLT. What a really nice guy he is. I will be listening to his new radio programme for sure…I hope I can access it in Cyprus. I’m a huge fan and have always supported DLT. GREAT to have you back on air sir.
Absolutely superb, honest, heartfelt. What a voice!
Very happy to hear thisI wish you a lot of succes with this new project!
So good to hear DLT’s voice again, a voice I grew up with in the golden age of radio one (70s / 80s) great interview and a turnaround from the last 5 years.
One of Dave’s favorite artist’s is one of my favs too, (Dave was one of the few DJ’s who used to play this artists tracks back in the day) so a fitting first track to play that probably summarizes how he felt of the last 5 years would be Gino Vannelli – Crazy Life.
Thanks a lot for the article post.Much thanks again. Fantastic.
