Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s Review Barton Hall 5* Hotel Kettering…..
Barton Hall is the sister hotel to the historic Rushton Hall. Operated with the same principles of customer service and high standards, this hotel is a delight to visit.
Unlike Rushton Hall this has a much more 2014 feel with modern furniture and fittings throughout. Both have an equally boutique and decadent feel.
Surrounded by colourful & beautifully kept gardens, Barton Hall Hotel is a striking Country House set in the town of Kettering.
Boasting a bar, restaurant, wedding facilities, free parking and free Wi-Fi – this really is my ideal 2014 hotel venue.
The gardens are very nice but the restored orangery is sensational. So picturesque and I can’t imagine there’s a more beautiful location to host a wedding. Stunning pictures I’m sure. It’s truly a work of art.

The rooms at Barton Hall are uniquely designed and contain an en suite bathroom, a 40-inch flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a work desk.
In the morning, the bright and elegantly designed Vines Bar & Brasserie serves an extensive breakfast buffet.
From the hotel, located just 30 minutes from the M1 and A1 in Kettering – Wicksteed Park is literally across the road and Kettering Golf Club is a 9-minute journey away. You can walk into town in just 30 minutes along a very nice route.
Despite being officially 4* (technical reasons explained later), there is no question the rooms are 5* luxury.
The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed and feel decadent.
Very modern, uncluttered, quiet, perfectly designed – what more could you want?
What I loved about the bathroom is that unlike most other hotels there is a separate shower and bath….which meant I could use the bath! Who wants to bathe in bowl that everyone else’s dirty water into? Bravo Barton Hall – lovely touch.
The shower itself was first class – as a tall guy it was perfectly positioned above unlike so many where I have to almost kneel down. The spray was powerful and the bathroom over all was impeccably clean and clearly 5*.
Room 11 offered a relaxing living area with sofa, however, my only slight complaint is that there wasn’t a TV in the room, and with the bedroom been so large and comfortable (with a desk) there was absolutely no point using it.
A waste really. It made a nice changing room though before dinner.
The office desk was also unused as there is a lovely glass table in the corner of the bedroom – perfect for my laptop, coffee whilst watching the huge” TV.
There is also a small mobile air conditioning unit in room which was a lovely touch.
The Vines Brasserie at Barton Hall is a treat of an eatery. Relaxed, incredibly friendly and informal service with lovely food and very reasonable prices.
The room, despite feeling relaxed has some lovely high-end touches including linen napkins. Elegantly designed, this restaurant is perfect for a special event.
The food is plentiful, incredibly well designed, superbly plated and delicious flavours and variety.
To begin, I was dining with company so I thought the sharing platters were a perfect idea!
The antipasti board with itlaian meats, focaccia, olives (heated for some reason), cheese and pickles was a treat. We added the Vegetarian board with peppers, humous as an extra bonus to the meal.
I couldn’t resist trying the ham hock terrine – beautifully presented with a poached egg and salad. Delicious….
The Vines Brasserie prides itself on using local, seasonal and fresh ingredients. The menu evolves throughout the year.
There are many options for the entrée. I literally could have chosen anything on the menu – my type of food.
I wanted to sample the most popular items on the menu so I started with the fish and chips. Beautifully cooked, amazing mint peas and home made tartar sauce – doesn’t get any more fun than this, especially for the price.
Finally I cannot say enough good things about the desserts.
Clearly the pastry chef was born to make sure every meal crescendo’s! She did not disappoint.
Breakfast at Barton Hall is a relaxed affair.
There’s freshly brewed coffee brought to your table. You can then help yourself to toast, cereals & fruit.
A simple but delicious hot menu of Full English Breakfast or Salmon and scrambled eggs can be ordered.
Barton Hall does not have a gym or overnight hot food which explains why this hotel is officially 4*. Certainly though they offer a 5* experience and 5* rooms
This hotel is new, friendly, well designed and feels so different to chain hotels.
Barton also offers conferencing facilities and is the perfect location for a wedding.
