Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s A Musical Affair Il Divo UK Tour Review With Lea Salonga 2014….
On October 18th Il Divo returned ‘home’ to the Birmingham LG Arena to begin their ‘A Musical Affair’ UK tour 2014.
Created by Simon Cowell in the UK 10 years ago, the worlds greatest boy band are more popular and polished than ever.
With killer vocals, remarkable staging and an orchestra second to none. This show has it all.
Il Divo’s musical synergy is stunning. Their rapport together and with the audience is palpable.
Their professionalism, passion, performance and production is the best in the business….
Here’s Celebrity Radio’s Exclusive Audio/Visual review via YouTube:
‘A Musical Affair’ offers the hits of Broadway & The West End in 100 minutes standing ovation-inducing performance.
With songs including ‘Tonight’, ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’, ‘Memory’, ‘I will always love you’, ‘Don’t cry for me Argentina’ and the gorgeous ‘Somewhere’ this show has something for everyone.
Il Divo were joined on stage by the gorgeous and stunningly talented Lea Salonga who is no novice to a showtune having originated the role of ‘Kim’ in Miss Saigon in London.
Ms. Salonga has the most beautiful tone, moving delivery and remarkable stage presence. Her version of ‘Defying Gravity’ from Wicked quite rightly got a standing ovation.
What is so brilliant about any Il Divo arena show is the precision. The boys are individually power-house performers who could each own the stage by themselves. David particularly shone tonight with his remarkably powerful vocals.
The orchestra were breath-taking and as always the sound was impeccable. So wonderful to hear perfect sound in an arena – so rare and frustrating these days!
This show was a new direction for Il Divo. Previously they’ve sung their biggest hits alongside new material. I have to admit I did miss their classics but there is no doubting the sell-out audience adored songs like ‘Love Changes Everything’ which was a home run for the band.
Having recorded the first ever network interview with the boys for the BBC, I’m somewhat biased, however, I truly believe at best Il Divo are the most magnificent vocal group in history and truly deserve every success around the world.
‘A Musical Affair’ is master-class in arena performance. Everything from the video screens to lighting and staging were superb. I know the boys have performed this show 1000 times, but it still looked fresh, fun and captivating for the audience gave stand ovations throughout this killer production.
5***** Review.

Review by Alex Belfield for Celebrity Radio 18th October 2014.
What a beautiful and talented group!
I have enjoyed and I have all of you albums and d.v.ds you have made, except for musical affair, which I was so happy to attend twice. Once in Las Vegas at Mandalay bay and luckily got tickets on row two at energy solutions in Salt Lake City Utah. I hope I can get the DVD here in America. I sent some gifts and hope you got them. Please keep making music together. Since my husband, who also loved you music passed away from cancer, in 2009, it has been very healing. My husband loved your music also, as he sang in a group called master singers. Thank you again for sharing your voices. I wish you all the best. Very. Sincerely, Norma Stapley. urs I enjoyed your interview.
