The show stars Robert Tripolino as a captivating Jesus, Ricardo Afonso as vocally sensational Judas, Sallay Garnett as gorgeous Mary & Matt Cardle as devastatingly torn Pilate.
Originally written as a rock opera album, Jesus Christ Superstar made its explosive debut on the Broadway stage in 1971.
The sound is quite remarkable during this feisty and testing piece. This ain’t Disney. It’s loud, shocking, passionate and packed with belting numbers.
The show is stolen by Ricardo Afonso who is soooo gifted. Such a ludicrously astounding voice. It’s hard to believe you can sing this ‘big’ 8 times a week. What a talent…
The entire ensemble are truly remarkable – such talent! Their energy is seductive and inspiring.
You cannot fail to leave in total awe of their discipline and pure dedication to the piece.
