The face of Channel 5 weather, Clare is a fully qualified, Met office trained, weather forecaster with 20 years’ experience.
Her first love has always been weather and science. Writing regularly for the Huffington Post on science and weather, her passions for science is accompanied by a wealth of qualifications, including a BSc in Maths, MSc in Oceanography and a recent diploma in Environmental Policy.
Clare has a passion for education and released her first Children’s book in autumn 2014 which made the Amazon best sellers list. During her ten years as GMTV’s weather anchor Clare was in charge of the output and production for science and weather stories. She won the coveted TRIC Award for Best Weather Presenter of the Year in 2011.

New research1 released today by Boots UK reveals a long-standing misconception; 89% of people don’t realise that hay fever symptoms can be worse in the city than in the countryside due to high levels of air pollution.
Nasir has been married to DJ Chris Hawkins since March 2005.[6] She gave birth to a baby girl, Sienna, on 11 November 2009, seven weeks early. Clare took maternity leave from GMTV for 5 months from October 2009 to February 2010.
After being ‘caught’ by the paparazzi exercising in a London park in a green bikini, she released her fitness DVD “Clare Nasir’s Boot Camp” in December 2010. She was then caught by paparazzi again exercising on the beach whilst looking very slim, just as the DVD hit the shelves.
In 2012, Clare and Chris moved to Wilmslow as Chris continues working for BBC Radio 6 Music at MediaCityUK.
