Enjoy our EXCLUSIVE HD Video walk through review:

I stayed in an Executive room on the 8th floor (May 2017) with direct access to the lounge.

Overlooking the airport, these rooms are modern, clean, well designed and average size for London.

My room was certainly exceptional by airport hotel standards and the views are infinitely entertaining.

The views were also delightful overlooking Gatwick…

Sofitel is a renowned brand that offers luxury.

Although this is not quite a 5* hotel, it doesn’t have the finesse, there are still lovely touches like mini-bar in room, glasses and an ice-machine on every floor.

In the ‘cosy’ bathroom you’ll get ESPA shampoo, conditioner & soap etc and a dressing gown.

In-room you’ll have all of the expected amenities like iron, hairdryer & trouser press.

There’s a kettle with hot chocolate, tea, coffee and milk for your convenience although unnecessary with the 24/7 lounge.

You can work at the desk in-room and secure your belongings in the safe.

Club rooms come with access to their Club Millesime / Executive Lounge / Club Sofitel.

Located on the eighth floor Sofitel Club Lounge offers the perfect place to relax prior to your flight.

The Lounge is open from 6.30am for breakfast with complimentary tea, coffee and soft drinks and evening canapés from 5.30pm with dessert served from 8pm.

This lounge does get incredibly busy. By 6.30pm people often stand and are often forced to move seats to fit in.

You can overlook the main runway for entertainment or read the newspapers supplied.

There’s a business centre where you print off your boarding card should you require.

From 5.30pm you can enjoy dips, cheese and canapes and alcoholic beverages included.

Breakfast is a simple but elegant affair from 6.30am.

With continental options, you will not go hungry with toast, cereals, croissants & cold meats.

Coffee is served at your table:

There are various rooms available at Sofitel Gatwick.

The Junior Suite is two standard rooms, one room is the bedroom and bathroom & the other is a lounge area with table, seating and TV.

Personally, for a very similar price, I’d opt for a club room on the 8th floor with access to the lounge and a better quality room….

There is 24 hour room service at Sofitel Gatwick.

Set around the central atrium of the hotel, there are three restaurants offering full English breakfasts, French fine dining, a table d’hote menu in a casual Parisian-style cafe and Oriental specialties.
