This is the perfect way to relax and escape from the madness of Sin City….
The Vegas desert seems like an unlikely home for marine life, but the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay is no ordinary exhibit. Featuring a large aquarium filled with 1.6 million gallons of water, the exhibit is home to more than 2,000 animals.
Everything from 14-foot long tiger sharks to a 300-pound sea turtle call the Shark Reef home. At the exhibit you’ll get to see some of the world’s most exotic marine predators and other species like the sawfish, giant rays, jellyfish and a rare golden crocodile.
The attraction’s interior design looks like an ancient temple that’s slowly sinking into the ocean. One of the unique elements of Shark Reef is a tunnel that travels through part of the aquarium, giving guests an unparalleled view of various species of sharks and the aquarium’s largest animals.
This part of the exhibit is designed to look like a sunken shipwreck, creating a colorful seascape for the incredible species that inhabit the aquarium.
