The Holiday Inn at Scotch Corner is a very nice travel quality hotel.
The location is more or less nowhere. You wouldn’t come to Scotch Corner for a holiday – but you would almost definitely pass by on your way to Newcastle, Scotland or The Lake District.
It’s the perfect place to break up your journey.
This is hotel far exceeds it’s ‘chain’ comepetitors close by and the £20 extra compared to the Travelodge across the road is a well worthwhile investment.
With modern furniture, interactive TV, free Wifi and parking – this is a very comfortable stay.

The rooms are spacious, clean and well equip with everything you’ll need.
This isn’t ‘luxury’ or indulgent but it feels modern and very clean. Perfect for a travellers hotel.
I’d rate this hotel 3.5 to 4 Stars.
You can enjoy dinner at Fratello’s Italian Restaurant. It’s reasonably priced and well presented food.
Alternatively there’s Columbus Bar & Lounge which is perfect for a relaxing drink with a full bar.
For breakfast there is a buffet offering continental and Full English for £10.
Residents get complimentary access to the onsite Active Life Leisure Club.
A full service Leisure Club featuring a 14-metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym floor.
Classes are also available for hotel residents. General opening times: – 6.30am – 10.00pm.
Rooms have a fridge, kettle, tea, coffee and water.
