Dakota Nottingham is one of the few 4+* luxury hotels in Nottingham. Located just off J27 of the M1, this really is the perfect place to stay for the discerning traveller.
With hugely competitive prices, beautifully modern, fresh and clean rooms – this hotel is a true treat to visit.
From the moment you enter the Dakota, you can’t fail to be impressed by the unique style and comfort and warm atmosphere.
The hotel also offer the ‘Dakota Grill’ which has wonderful food at remarkably reasonably prices.
The Dakota claims to “stick to what we believe in – fantastic food using the best local suppliers” – that they do.
The lobby is beautifully designed, relaxing and has a 5* boutique atmosphere.

This hotel feels new, fresh and hugely elegant.
All bedrooms have been beautifully designed with large flat screen tvs and workstations with free WIFI throughout the property.
The large black and white tiled bathrooms are all equipped with heated mirrors and walk-in power showers. The hotel’s executive bedrooms are larger still, with the added benefit of king sized beds. Rooms do not have baths.
Dakota for reason use the word ‘simple’ in much of their PR – I can’t understand why as this hotel incredibly classy, 4+* and a delight to visit.
Dakota have clearly spent a lot of time focusing on space management. The rooms are brilliantly designed although with 47 devices in my case I would have loved a few more plugs by the bed. There are only 2, by the office desk.
The room comes with tea, coffee and still /sparkling water included as well as shower gel (on the wall in shower brilliant) and shampoo, conditioner & moisturiser.
The bathrooms are impeccably clean, modern and although not huge – have everything you need for an indulgent stay.
Excellent power showers are must for a great hotel – the Dakota doesn’t disappoint!
Room service at Dakota is incredibly efficient and great value – certainly compared to chain hotels.
The standard of food was certainly restaurant quality and delivery was quick and without inconvenience.
The goats cheese salad with beetroot and vine cherry tomatoes was lovely, the chicken Caesar was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked just the right amount of sauce.
The ‘Dakota burger’ beat expectations being miles above your average ‘chain’ frozen rubbish. Full of flavour and fresh herbs – a great job in ciabatta bread.
Including the small room service charge, the value for money is exceptional.
The hotel also has a mini gym with air conditioning.
Dakota have a very elegant and impressive restaurant that opens 7-10.30am for Breakfast, 12pm – 2.30pm for lunch and 6pm-10.30pm.
The room is incredibly well designed with an open brick wall at the back and cool black/brown interior design, it offers an incredibly accessible menu at remarkably reasonable prices for this standard of hotel.
Breakfast as the Dakota is an excellent affair.
In the modern and classy dining room located behind the ‘Grill’, you get a continental buffet and hot choices off the menu.
There’s a buffet offers cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fresh pastries and toast….
The hot menu offers a full English breakfast, salmon and scrambled eggs and porridge.
All of the produce was exceptionally good quality and the kitchen promise ‘local produce’.
The salmon was delicious and the sausage and bacon was really wonderful.
The atmosphere is truly relaxed and a delight to visit.
Do visit the restaurant for lunch or dinner!
The ‘Pork Plate’ was a carnivores delight, the prawn smoked salmon avocado salad was really great and the braised beef short ribs were to die for!
An exceptional meal at remarkably reasonable prices.
Overall Dakota is 4+* hotel with exceptionally friendly service, wonderfully quiet modern rooms and a great restaurant.
