Sister restaurant to La Cantina De Appetite located across the street, Restaurant Appetite is not only a joy because of the great food, but mostly due to its incredible chef and owner Bonnie Han.
Bonnie is an inspiration. Born in Malaysia and having worked around the world including Australia, she is a true character. She’s a business genius and a passionate restaurateur. Her cooking is exception and she prides herself on being self-trained and hiring staff with the same passion and mind-set.
Ms. Han opens her newest restaurant in Majorca this coming week.
Bonnie is one of the biggest and most fun personalities I’ve encountered in a long time. Meeting Ms. Han is worth a trip to Appetite alone!
Appetite The Bistro Valencia offers a unique menu of 6 or 8 mystery causes. You have to put your faith in Chef and that bet certainly pays off!
There is no a la carte menu at this restaurant.
The dining room at Appetite is not only smart, modern, sophisticated, impeccably clean but comfortable, relaxed and spacious. The perfect combination for me.

We greedily opted for the 8 course taster menu and it was quite a feast!
Chef Bonnie prides herself of giving value for money and as you can see from these impressive dishes…..you will not leave hungry or disappointed.
To begin ~ we started with the most delicious chicken taco with coleslaw & guacamole. Totally moreish and I could have eaten this as a meal in itself. (Pic Above).
Next we had a gorgeous pork and prawn wanton followed by the totally unique, decadent, delicious (and my personal favourite dish) the Langoustines in crispy noodles and tempura sauce. Stunningly fresh and innovative (pic 2 below)…..
The next of 8 dishes was an incredibly tender Moroccan spiced pork koftas with hummus and cherry tomatoes. (Pic Above).
The service during the meal was perfect – not rushed, attentive and incredibly friendly.
So the meal continued….
Course 5 was Thai muscles with the Roti Indian bread. This was incredibly flavoursome with an edge of spice and the muscles were beautifully tender. The bread was crispy and perfect to enjoy the gorgeous ‘soup’.
Next, we had a hugely refreshing duck salad with Lychee. A wonderfully light dish which was perfectly timed.
As if this mammoth meal could not get any more exciting, the final course was grilled steak and noodles…..
Finally for dessert I was blown away by the texture and flavour of the Australian mango trifle.
I defy any chef to beat this crescendo finale to this incredible meal…..
Finally I cannot tell you how impressed I was by Bonnie’s fabulous energy, personality and passion for what she does. It’s so refreshing.
More chefs should embrace Ms Han’s desire to please customers, deliver excellent food and leave every customer feeling incredibly special.
Bravo Appetite The Bistro Valencia. I cannot wait to return.
