La Barra de Cesar Anca Review – Alicante

Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s La Barra de Cesar Anca Review – Alicante….

It’s very rare after all of these years of dining in some of the most spectacular restaurants in the world that I am blown away by the food & atmosphere in a restaurant – I was at Cesar Anca Alicante.

As far as I am concerned this is the best and most exciting food that I have tasted in Alicante (by far) and is simply world class.

César Anca Restaurante has two types of dining, either fine dining in the beautifully designed restaurant or in the much more fun and informal bar. I chose to sit in the bar for the full La Barra de Cesar Anca experience.

I was firstly impressed by the warm and friendly staff who did everything possible to overcome the language barriers. They couldn’t have been more helpful.

I was offered a menu (translated in English) and was surprised by the complexity of tastes and flavours on offer at a lunch time.

Then the fun began…..

I sincerely recommend you take advantage of their ‘unique’ dishes on the menu which takes Valencian cuisine to a whole new level!

Above you can see a hugely tasty goats cheese and salmon tart followed my favourite thing ever….beautiful ham. Jamon Serrano has to be one of the most simple but delicious dishes in he world! Cesar Anca’s bread was also mind blowingly fresh (I always judge a good restaurant by its bread and they didn’t disappoint!

Next was a gorgeous langoustine – presented beautifully and incredibly moreish.

Below was a beautiful take on Velencian octopus and the most delicious salmon salad I’ve ever tasted…..

One of the best things I have EVER tasted is the duck crepe with a balsamic glaze. It is simply divine – beautifully tender and has the most delicate and delicious flavours.

For dessert you have to try the ‘chocolate tear’ – it’s fabulous. As chocolaty as you can imagine. This was the perfect way to end a hugely fun, delicious, memorable and unique meal.

I simply cannot wait to return to Cesar Anca. One of the best dining experiences in my life!
