Joe Pasquale is touring the UK as Frank Spencer in the first ever stage production of the 1970s TV comedy, Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em!
Written and directed by Guy Unsworth and based on the original show by Ray Allen, this ludicrous farce is touring the UK through 2018.
Joe Pasquale delivers a remarkable & inspiring 5* performance!
This show is a fast paced, high energy nonsense with Joe giving 100% throughout. He’s a true star and has impeccable comic timing. This show celebrates his skill, tenacity, effortless energy and talent. He was born to play this role!
Set in Frank & Betty’s lounge, the entire play is a disaster from the second Frank walks through the door. SMDAE is pure escapism. It takes you back to a simpler & more wholesome time.
Expect slamming of doors, wardrobe malfunctions and a ludicrously hysterical disaster down the staircase…ouch!

The TV show first debuted in 1973, running for three seasons across five years and starred Michael Crawford and Michele Dotrice.
The new stage show has many similarities to the 70’s sitcom and pays tribute to the format, however, Joe is playing Frank not Michael playing Frank….if you know what I mean.
From the opening line the set falls apart until the climax which is hysterical. Joe literally throws himself into this role.
This play is a visually delicious health and safety nightmare. I do hope he doesn’t have an accident!

Joe plays opposite Sarah Earnshaw who plays his long-suffering wife Betty. Their chemistry is quite remarkable. Sarah has an innocence that is matched perfectly with Frank’s ineptitude and Joe’s refreshing energy.
Susie Blake plays the role of mother-in-law lush, Mrs Fisher. Her physicality is quite remarkable. Genuinely big laughs via the prune wine.
