Joe Pasquale Interview & Review Aladdin…

This year’s spectacular Bristol Hippodrome pantomime is Aladdin –  one of the best written and most hysterical & spectacular productions in 2017.

Starring the genius Joe Pasquale as Wishee Washee, he is simply the best in the business and is the heart and soul of the entire show.

Aladdin is without question a 5* hit for the entire family!

Squeaky stars alongside Marti Pellow as evil sorcerer Abanazar, channelling his inner Lion King-esk ‘Scar’, in this haunting and epic role.

With his self-penned original music throughout – there’s no need for Wet Wet Wet here! He gives 100% and puts up with Joe’s nonsense brilliantly.

With a killer cast, stunning visuals and LOL gags & special effects – you cannot fail to love this pantomime running until Jan 7th 2018.

What is glorious about this specific production is the writing. It stays more true to the story of Aladdin than any production I’ve seen in years.

There’s no filler and it whizzes by in just under 2 hours.

The flying carpet is sensational. So beautiful for the children and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

This is exactly what panto should be – uplifting, breath-taking and amazing!

Hayley Tamaddon was a delicious Princess whilst Kimberly Blake was a lovely ‘Slave of the ring’.

David Birt is one of the best Dame’s I’ve seen in years. Fabulously hysterical costumes, beautiful timing and an electric energy. Perfect triple threat of Twankey.

Alexis Gerred was a perfect Aladdin. Charming, handsome, lovely voice but most impressively, he looked like he was over the moon to be there! (rare). This guy is an glorious addition to the cast and a fantastic talent.

Aladdin is an adventure featuring a beautiful love story, flying carpets, a wish-granting genie and a lamp packed full of spectacular family entertainment.

Brought to you by Qdos Entertainment for the first time in Bristol, you’ll enjoy the world’s biggest pantomime production of Aladdin.

What I loved about this show was the high-energy schtick like ‘pans & spoon’ & ‘If I were not in Old Peking’. These ‘bits’ are genius when played with such energy and precision.

Joe is a master for sure driving this 2 hour juggernaut.

My only word of warning is the appallingly scary opening (way too loud for kids), the ludicrous 3D scene and the snake. Superfluous for panto and terrifying to the 4 year old sat next to me who was beside herself with fear.

Totally unnecessary with such a talented cast. Beyond my comprehension why Qdos insist on these incongruous distractions.

Joe Pasquale is without question one of the BEST in the business! DON’T MISS HIM!

This cast compliment him brilliant. You’ll laugh until you cry.
