He played Valjean with such conviction and took the audience on such a journey, we (my husband and son came with me), were emotional wrecks by the end of the performance. I honestly think that no other actor can touch his performance (sorry Colm Wilkinson). Absolutely amazing. Now I’m not a massive fan of Phantom of the Opera but my sister is and when I found out he was going to be playing the role as the Phantom I perked up considerably. My sister was in awe from beginning to end and I admit I enjoyed the show more than I ever thought I would. He is the consummate professional and he puts his heart and soul into every performance. I cannot wait to see him again.
